I've been listening to a song titled "Masafi," meaning Distance in Arabic, performed by Lebanese singer Marilyne Naaman. The song opens with the lyrics (translated) "My mother used to say, don't fear the distance," prompting me to contemplate various perspectives and situations.

I enjoy sharing my thoughts with you, so here is a short blog to delve into those ideas. I regularly read and appreciate your comments, so please feel free to share your thoughts as they are important to me.

Embracing the Beauty and Cruelty of Life Through Travel

When I first moved abroad, I was fragile—a brand new paper, unmarked by the realities of the world. Reading news or scrolling through social media is one thing, but standing in the midst of a place, seeing it with my own eyes, connecting with the people, and witnessing life unfold—both its beauty and its cruelty—was something entirely different. Traveling the world broadened my perspective in ways I could have never imagined. I came to understand how life can be both breathtakingly beautiful and painfully unfair, how people can experience moments of pure joy, while others endure unimaginable injustice. I am grateful and beyond for this opportunity.

Embracing Change and Evolving Through Distance: Reflections on Identity and Connections

Being away from my home country made me reflect not only on my own values but also on the stories of people around the world. It taught me that no matter where you are, you carry the weight of your experiences and your beliefs, but those can shift, grow, and change when you allow yourself to see the world through new eyes. It’s not about losing who you are—it’s about evolving, taking what you’ve learned, and building something stronger.

But beyond the places I visited and the lessons I learned, distance revealed something even more valuable—the true nature of the connections I held. Whether with people I left behind or those I met along the way, distance became a mirror, showing me who they really were and what those relationships meant. It taught me not to fear distance, but to embrace it. It allows everything to fall into place, clarifying who and what truly matters. The process of change—of evolving—requires us to let some things go, but also to hold onto what remains strong and true.

Embracing the Art of Letting Go: Honoring Past Connections and Moving Forward

I’ve put effort into many places, projects, and relationships, but the truth is, when it’s not mutual, I’ve learned to let go—no matter how important that person or thing was to me. They played their role in shaping who I am today, and sometimes, it’s simply time for them to stay at a distance. Letting go doesn’t mean I’m dismissing their importance. On the contrary, it acknowledges the value they once had, while accepting that not everything is meant to stay forever.

The Power of True Sunshine People: Finding Warmth and Light in Every Cloud

Some people are like sunshine. When they’re around, you feel it—they fill you with warmth and light. But just because they are sunshine to you doesn’t mean they are sunshine to everyone else. Then there are people who, even on the brightest of days, seem to bring a cloud over your skiesI. It doesn’t make them any less important—they still teach you lessons, and you might even miss them from time to time. But what I’ve learned is that true sunshine people, the ones who genuinely warm your soul, will continue to do so even behind their occasional clouds. You’ll always feel their love, respect, and warmth, even when life isn’t perfect, because their light comes from a place of mutual care.

It's completely normal to perceive this blog as chaotic and diverse, as it encapsulates a myriad of subjects and ideas. This eclectic mix is a true reflection of the way my thoughts cascade and collide within the confines of my mind. Embracing this diversity allows me to explore a wide range of concepts, sparking new connections and insights that enrich both my writing and my understanding of the world around me. So, while the chaos may seem daunting at first glance, it is in this very chaos that the true essence of my thoughts and ideas find expression.
